Arsenal FC started like, as a works team called DIAL SQUARE in 1886, the workers were blacksmiths that used to build cannons, which is why the Club is known as GUNNERS. (10). LEE DIXON ( 1988-2002 )
Lee Dixon is an English retired professional footballer, who played as a right-back defender. Dixon has also been capped over 20 times for England national team, his father Roy also was former Manchester City player that plays as a goalkeeper. Dixon's football career was spent on the Terraces Maine Road. From the hardest position on the pitch to make a great impact, Dixon excelled in both his primary duty of defending, and further upfield.
His quickness of thought meant Dixon was rarely seen wanting in a position sense unlike his teammates Messrs Thomas and Jensen. He had a knack for jockeying the front into hard positions before swiping the ball away. He had been a winger during his time with Burnley and often proved telling in Arsenal attacks. Dixon's goals record bears challenging with most defenders in the Club's history.
Arséne Wenger took Dixon in, and after playing a great role in the club's "double" success in 1998, the international game beckoned once again. As the new millennium came, there was no hiding the Truth that Lee was moving toward the twilight of his career. Dixon battle back and when he got injured, the squad moved into the break profitably helping the side to win the English League once again. His great moments with the Gunners remain unforgotten, he made over 440 appearances and scored 24 goals.

(9). IAN WRIGHT ( 1991-1998 )
Ian Wright is an English television and radio pundit and former professional footballer. Wright was successful in his football with English clubs Crystal Palace and Arsenal, over many decades with the two clubs. Some players are great goal-scorers, and others are Scorers of great goals, lan Wright was a player with both qualities.
Wright always found a way to find the net, even if it required a magnificent 30-yard chip or a toe-poke from 2 yards. Wright goal scoring ability was unique and incredible, he was a showman. Wright was a Force of maturity both in and out of the pitch, assuming the mantle of practical joker mostly in the dressing room and amazing goal celebrations.
No wonder Wright became Arsenal's fans' favorite player. Wright signed professional terms for Crystal Palace in 1985, just 3 months short of his 22nd birthday. Wright joined Arsenal in September 1991 record of £2.5 million, many questioned the transfer. During the period Arsenal were reigning Champions, Alan Smith had won two golden boots in 3 seasons and Kevin Campbell had emerged from the youth stage to put energy into the forward lines.
Which already boasted the flair and dreams of Andres Limpar and Paul Merson. Did Arsenal need Wright? George Graham knew better and was cleared as soon as Wright scores on his team debut in the League Cup at Leicester. Still bagged a hat-trick on his League debut against Southampton. Wright has helped the Gunners countless times, he made 288 appearances and scored 185 goals for Arsenal.

Tony Adams is an English professional player and former football manager, Adams played for England national team and Arsenal, captaining both teams. He spent his entire football career of over 18 years as a center-back at Arsenal. 14 years as team captain, 669 appearances, and 10 major trophies, including League Titles in 3 deferent years.
It's no miscalculation "MR. ARSENAL" himself is considered one of Arsenal's greatest players. Adams was the supreme one-club man, an increasing rarity in nowadays football, and a rock at the heart of Arsenal. He came as the leader of the popular back four, forming an instinctive understanding with his center-back squad Steve Bould and full-back Lee Dixon, and Nigel Winterburn. On a single level, it's hard to think of a more committed, more dedicated, and inspirational player in Arsenal's history.
George Graham called him "my Colossus" Arséne Wenger knows him as "professor of defense". Two of them were right because technically, Adams was an ultimate defender, his reading of the game, and his great leadership. It was known that Adams was a bit good, from the moment he joined Arsenal in 1980. 3 years later he made his debut against Sunderland, 4 weeks after was his 17th birthday.
It was hardly a profitable start, Adams was to blame for a 2-1 loss, but he soon found his feet at the high level. 8 months later after winning his first medal at the 1987 Littlewoods Cup final, he became Gunners's youngest ever skipper at the age of 21 years. He made 669 appearances and scored 48 goals for Arsenal. "I COULDN'T WAIT FOR HIM TO RETIRE" SIR ALEX FERGUSON.

On the day that David Rocastle died ( March 31, 2001 ) Arsenal played against rivals Spurs at Highbury. Donning 'Rock's number 7 jersey that day, was a Frenchman who had flattered to deceive in his opening few months as a Gunner. By full-time, though, and with the old adversary once again disposed of, the fans were happy with the "arrival" of Robert Pires.
The former Metz player showed passion, and creativity worthy of Rocastle, duly breaking the strong Midway open the second half, He never looked back. Gunners' fans had been hurt by Marc Overmars leaving the previous summer, thanks to another shrewd bit of signing from Arséne Wenger, the Dutchman's absence was rarely felt. Pires was a good playmaker's vision and a striker's instinct in equal measure.
His unexpected running styles were deceptive as Pires' fleet-of-foot was vital in the Gunners machine of the early 2000s. Pires came with some ancestry, he had been among the all-conquering French team of 1998 and 2000. But by his own time, he struggled early on, afraid that he would falter under the physical demands of the premier league. Seemed Justified but closeness brought about potency in him, and Pires began to conquer. In his second season, Pires was a fearsome proposition for defenses across Europe. He made over 197 appearances and scored over 61 goals for Arsenal.

(6). LIAM BRADY ( 1973-1980 )
It's hard to stem the flow of superlatives when sketching how good he was. 'chippy' had every possible quality a midfielder could want, skillful, excellent ball control, balance, vision, so energetic, and the ability to glide past opponents at will. Like all great players, he always had time on the ball and almost always chose the best option on the pitch.
When playing, Brady's brain and feet worked in perfect correspondence, Gunners' fans of a certain age will say that the Irishman was the cleverest playmaker of his era and, rather like Diego Maradona at the 1986 world cup, he could make an undistinguished team a potent one. Brady's talent was evident from the moment he joined Arsenal on schoolboy forms in 1970. He upgraded to professional on his 17th birthday in 1973 and Bertie Mee wasted no time in matching the most talented teenagers.
In October of that year, Brady came off the bench to replace Jeff Blockley and make his first-team debut against Birmingham City. Early days Brady learned good lessons from his first midfield partner, the world cup Champion Alan Ball. And when Alan Ball departed, having joined forces with Brady to lead Arsenal away from the relegation zone, Brady assumed the mantle of midfield master.
Brady progressed to new heights, following the appointment of Terry Neill as manager and the return of Don Hows as coach. And as the likes of Malcolm MacDonald and Frank Stapleton gorged on opportunities conjured up by Brady. Arsenal emerged from their mid-seventies drop to reach three successive FA Cup finals between 1978 and 1980. He made over 305 appearances and scored over 57 goals for the Gunners.

(5). PATRICK VIEIRA ( 1996-2005 )
Patrick Vieira is a French professional football manager and former player. He is highly regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of his era, one of the greatest midfielders in Premier League history, and Arsenal's greatest-ever player. Another relative unknown arrived at Highbury in 1996 alongside Arséne Wenger. His name is Patrick Vieira, and with his new manager, the midfielder went on to modify the complexion of the Club, commence on progress to two domestic doubles and a historic unbeaten premier league campaign.
The rigors of England's top gliding were never going to be an affair for the 6ft 4ins Vieira, and his physical stature was as imposing as his powerhouse performances in the heart of Arsenal's midfield. Under the teaching of his compatriot Wenger, Vieira unfold into one of the world's best in his position, a remarkable athlete who could both win the ball and distribute it excellently. Outside players usually plead for time to settle and, in the Wenger generation alone, the likes of Thierry Henry, Marc Overmars, Robert Pires, Alex Hleb, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Tomas Rosicky all needed the comfort of weeks or months before finding somewhere near top accessory.
Vieira opened the mold, almost instantly the elevated Frenchman stamped his power on the premier league, and together with Emmanuel Petit, swept Arsenal to double glory in his first full season. But what made Vieira unique, was that his graft came hand in hand with craft. Their superior passing ability, as well as quelling the threat of the opposition, anthemis ability to read the game. Patrick became a vital gear in Wenger's forward-thrusting machine. There were few more graceful sights in football than Vieira holding off an opponent in a crowded and overflowing midfield, before flicking the ball over his head and racing away downfield to spark another Gunners attack. He was simply a grade act, he made 307 appearances and scored 31 goals for Arsenal.
Achievements with Arsenal:
4 English FA Cup Winner
3 English Super Cup Winner

Özil, at the age of 24 years, joined Arsenal from Real Madrid where he made 159 appearances in 3 years. During that period he won both La Liga and the Copa Del Rey. The outstanding attacking midfielder has been a long-term aim and manager Arséne Wenger said "We are extremely delighted to have signed Mesut Özil. We have watched and commended him for some time as he has all the attributes I look for in an Arsenal player. ARSÉNE WENGER "I have said throughout the summer that Arsenal has been working hard to bring in world-class players to this football club. This involved many people across the club and I have always had the full support of the club in making choices on the football side. We all looking forward to Özil joining up with us after his International matches with Germany and working with us as an Arsenal player

It will be great for my personal development as a player and I am particularly looking forward to working with Arséne Wenger. "From our agreement, it is clear the club has big ambition and I look forward to being part of it and happy future. In England, Özil won many FA Cups and greatly helped the Gunners ' years of trophy aridity, while making the second most assists ever (19) in a premier league season, in 2021. (3). MARC OVERMARS ( 1997-2000 )
Marc Overmars is a Dutch former professional footballer and director of football at Belgian Pro League part Royal Antwerp FC. He was long ago the director of football at Ajax. Some eyebrows were raised when Arsenal was connected with Marc Overmars in the summer of 1997. No one underrated the Dutchman's talent, he was one of the best wingers in World football, but his well, circumstantiated injuries were a concern.
Overmars was a miniature wide man in the young Ajax side, which remove Milan to win the European Cup in 1995. However, a serious knee issue, suffered the next year, pulled him out of Euro '96 and cast doubt on the Dutch Flyers' long-term future. Wenger made up his mind that was a risk worth taking, and not for the last time, the Frenchman's judgment was stainless. Overmars took time to find full throttle but, once a small foot injury had eased, he took English Football by storm.
Overmars became a vital cog in the Arsenal instrument which brought the double back to Highbury in Wenger's first complete season. That 1998 historical had the power of Petit, Vieira, and the trickery of Bergkamp. Now the blistering pace of Overmars made them an astonishing counter-attacking force. Bergkamp was probably the key man, but Overmars was his ultimate wingman. Right backs all across the country were given a blazing time, as Overmars ran at them and jinked inside or sprinted onto weighted passes inside the full-back from the likes of Petit and Bergkamp.
Defenders are aware that, given a yard start, Overmars would not be reached, and that avenue was a potent cover for Arsenal in Wenger's first double year. Overmars followed braces against Leeds and West Ham with a vital strike at Barnsley as Silverware hovered largely. And when it came to the big occasion, Overmars was rarely ineffective to deliver. He was the heroic performer at Old Trafford in March 1998, as Arsenal took the game to Manchester United and emerged with a 1-0 victory. Overmars scored the vital goal after threatening to score on many occasions, the result rotate the title balance in Arsenal's favor. He made 137 appearances and scored 38 goals for Arsenal.

1 English Champion
1 English FA Cup Winner
3 English Super Cup Winner
(2). DENNIS BERGKAMP ( 1996-2006 )
Dennis Bergkamp is a Dutch professional football coach and former player. You could fill a page with a list of amazing goals netted by him, you could fill more pages with a list of the goals that had their virtuosity in his perception, and you could fill a dictionary with a list of bests used to describe his 11 years career with Arsenal.
Dennis Bergkamp is quite simply a legend of the game. In the last two years, many one-time nameless has left Highbury with a scary reputation and much, warranted acclaim. But, in a way, Dennis was an exception. He came, and left, with the best Calibre. His arrival signaled a daring change in outlook from the men in charge at Arsenal.
George Graham had been replaced by Bruce Rioch, and 'Boring, Boring, Arsenal' was to be replaced by something altogether more unique. Bergkamp was the motivation. Of course, Rioch's Highbury Sojourm came to an abrupt end and in September 1996 Arséne Wenger took the reins. Bergkamp needn't have faded over his place in the Frenchman's ambitions, though, and Wenger later claimed Dennis's presence in the levels had been "a blessing, a gift when I arrived".
And so it was that under the teaching of Wenger, Bergkamp redefined football in English's crown division. His lexicon technique, defensive skills, discipline, positioning, and- nature for picking out the killer pass made him the supreme symbol, not fantasy football. Indeed when Arsenal usurped Manchester United as the country's best team in 1998, Bergkamp, too succeeded Eric Cantona as the premier league's brightest beacon of European excellence. That double season Arsenal's number 10 was incredible, and his reward at the end of the campaign was both major Player of the Year awards to go with his Championship and FA Cup Medals. Bergkamp plundered 120 goals with Arsenal, making him the 10th top scorer in Gunners' history, and made 315 appearances for Arsenal.

3 English Super Cup Winner
(1). THIERRY HENRY ( 1999-2016 )
Thierry Henry is a French professional football coach, former player, and pundit. He is widely considered one of the greatest strikers of all time, and one of the best players in premier league history. He has been named Arsenal F.C. Legend. Remember the boy in the playground who was good then everyone else with a football at his feet? That's what Thierry Henry was like in his show.
The Frenchman had the extraordinary technique and surprising strength. And like the classic schoolboy superstar, he did pretty much everything for his team. The dead-ball expert, the penalty taker, and the playmaker. Then there are the goals, a Club record of 228 of them to be accurate. And what a memento Henry built up during his 8 years with Arsenal.
Thumping, drives, jinking runs, delicate chips, even the odd herder. The Frenchman had countless ways to find the net. Everyone has their own Henry bests parts, but here are just a few to whet the appetite: that flick-up and lob over Fabien Barthez, the slaloming run against Liverpool, the 60-yard surge against Tottenham Hotspur, that cheeky clip against Chalton, that beauty in the Beenabéu Stadium.
And remember, Henry wasn't even a true striker when he came to Highbury in the summer of 1999. Recall when he came off the bench for his debut against Leicester and threatened the North Bank regulars with his piece shooting. Surely Henry wasn't the natural replacement for Nicolas Anelka, Arséne Wenger thought otherwise and, with the help of his anxious French student, transformed Henry from a winger into a striker.
Henry took 9 games to open his Arsenal account but his brace against Derby announced his arrival as a good finisher. When the season ended, he was Scoring at will, and within a few years, he was known as one of the best strikers in the world. The North Bank could stop ducking and start celebrating. They had many to celebrate too as Henry's goals came hand in hand with trophies. There were regrets at first, the UEFA Cup and FA Cup slipped annoyingly through Arsenal's grasp at the turn of the century, but a double in 2002 made amends. Henry's contribution was emphatic 32 goals in all competitions. Thierry Henry made 376 appearances and scored 228 goals for Arsenal.
